While I specialize in treating eating disorders, my practice is not limited to this area. Many of my clients come to therapy for other concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, or navigating life transitions. My focus is on understanding the deeper patterns that shape how you relate to yourself and others—whether or not food or body image is part of the picture.
If you’d like to explore working together, the best place to start is by reaching out through my contact form, email, or phone. From there, we can schedule a brief consultation call to see if it feels like a good fit and to answer any questions you might have.
If you decide to move forward with scheduling an initial session, I’ll send you a link to a secure client portal where you can complete the intake paperwork before we meet. In-person sessions are held at my office in Newport Beach. Virtual sessions are held via Zoom -- I will send you the Zoom link on the day of our scheduled session.
Both in-person and virtual sessions can offer deep, meaningful connection—it’s more about what feels right for you. In-person therapy can provide a grounding sense of shared space and presence, which some people find especially supportive. Virtual therapy offers flexibility and comfort, allowing you to engage from your own environment and make therapy more accessible in your daily life. What truly matters is the relationship we build and the work we do together, not the format we use to meet.
The first session is simply a chance to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping for, and how I might be able to support you. There’s no need to prepare anything—you can just come as you are.
For teens beginning therapy, I meet with only the parent(s) for the initial session. This time allows us to talk in depth about family dynamics, your teen’s mental health concerns, and your perspective as a parent. In the second session, I meet with your teen individually, giving them space to speak freely about what’s been bothering them and to get to know me as their therapist. From there, if it feels like a good fit for everyone, we’ll move forward with ongoing therapy.
I’m out of network with insurance companies, which means I don’t bill them directly. However, I can provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. A superbill is essentially a detailed receipt that includes the medical codes your insurance company needs to process a claim. It’s always a good idea to check with your insurance provider about your out-of-network mental health benefits before getting started.
My fee is $230 for a 45-minute session. I keep a limited number of reduced-fee spots for those who may need financial flexibility. If cost feels like a barrier, please reach out—we can talk through what might work.
Payment is collected at the time of each session. Intake paperwork is completed through a HIPAA-compliant secure online portal, where you’ll also enter your credit card information. Payments are processed after each session, and I accept credit cards, debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your mental health care will cost. All health care providers must be able to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask me, and any other healthcare provider you have, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
